Porsche’s new 935

October 11, 2018

Amazing but true, Porsche resurrected 935 by unveiling this new version during the rennsport meeting of Laguna Seca.

Frank-Steffen Giant, dad of the 918 Spyder and now vice-President of the motorsport department, said it was a birthday present from the competition service for the 70 years of the brand.

The dimensions are not common: the new 935 measure 4.87 m long and 2.03 m wide while the gt2 rs measure 4,55 m and 1,88 m wide, and this is accompanied by changes Equally huge aerodynamic. The whole body has been reviewed and almost all parts are carbon. The rear fin is disproportionate, and the front headlights are missing: they are replaced by small fires in the front shield.

Visually, the 935 resumed the livery of the famous 935 “Moby Dick” and its sails of rims painted in red. In the back, the lights are installed on the fins of the fin, it’s a wink to the 919 hybrid.

Under the hood, there is a flat 6 of a 3,8 litre bi-Turbo Cylinder, borrowed from the 700 HP Gt2 Rs, combined with the pdk box with pallets. The brakes are made of steel with 380 mm discs at the front, 355 mm in the rear, and the weight is 1380 kg (compared with 1470 kg for gt2 RS).

Contrary to the 935 of which it bases the bases, 935 will not be approved on the road, it will only be intended for intensive drives on circuit, but does not respond to any competition programme. It thus joined the very closed club of cars cut for performance without compromise, in the image of the ferrari fxx k or Aston Martin Vulcan.

77 units will be sold at a price of € 701 HT, customers will be delivered from June 2019.

Testimonial

This is to state that when I visited the premises of Border Reivers,I was really impressed by the knowledge of Tom Fitzsimmons when it comes to Porsche. The standard to which the cars are presented is meticulous.I have been communicating with them over many years as their offerings of Porsche have seemed mouthwatering, but one never knows by conversation alone the extent of enthusiasm and detail knowledge that Tom has put into the business, so it was a real pleasure to be there for real. I have been connected with the Marque Porsche ever since the early 60s and have driven them internationally and for Porsche themselves over many years. I have been buying, selling and racing Porsche for 48 years and it is a real pleasure to see such enthusiasm translated into such a passionate business always seeking perfection in the product.UnknownQuick Nick with his trade mark front wheel in the air
