These early 911’s still look so cool. I love that look without the rear spoiler.

A good friend offered us Executive suite tickets for the Manchester Utd V Manchester City Game last night so we jumped in the 997 Turbo & headed South. I forgot what a wonderful car the Turbo is for eating up the miles. What a car, what a night and back home for 1.59 am. The perfect evening.
Another early pre 73 911
Bill Telford does some wonderful Tours. Very much a Scottish asset.
This beautiful Porsche 911 from 1973 in RHD. Could this be our next entrant for the Monte-Carlo rally (watch this space)
Nice surprise delivered today from a client, who’s car we sold recently .

Another car departs Border Reivers this time to Australia. We fear with the low value of the £ pound, this will be a trend we are going to have to get used to.

Armour Fend is a plastic coating to protect the car from stone chips, used mostly on track day cars.
What a bastard of a job it is to remove it. It’s expensive to apply, it then starts to craze and looks dreadful. Then when you remove it properly with the help of heat it lifts the bloody paint. Be aware of this when you buy a car & avoid wrapped cars !!!!
Thats my daily rant over .
For the Formula 1 enthusiasts we bring a watch brand made famous by its association with the F1 championships. Worn by legends Schumacher, Senna, Button, Andretti and Hamilton to name a few the Tag Heuer brand has and still is a very cool sports watch to own.
The competition for premium luxury watch brands is tough though and Tag Heuer has maintained their presence and reputation by designing a broad range of sport and dress watches for all occasions whether male or female. While the looks are important the engine so to speak of each timepiece equally matters and with this in mind the premium models have been fitted with “calibre” movements.
This weeks watch, a Grand Carrera RS, perfectly blends aesthetics with accuracy via its Calibre 17 automatic chronometer that can be seen in action via a glass display back. The silver dial displays the chronograph functions in an unusual but very cool fashion with contrasting red tips on the sub dials.
Having just been fully serviced, polished and now with a 12 month mechanical warranty it is a great example of why to consider a pre-owned luxury watch. Although recently discontinued and now a collectors watch when new in 2007 this retailed at around £5600 and is now available at around half price and in a condition that reflects the day it left the Tag Heuer dealership. Would make a fantastic Christmas or birthday gift for any F1 or motoring enthusiasts!

It’s been a mixed week at Border Reivers. September was quieter than last year however October got off with a bang selling 5 cars in the 1st week, also a lot of enquires that we would hope to convert. Just back from a wasted trip to Norwich to inspect a car that was definitely not as described but that what we have to endure to get our clients the best. We have purchased a few nice cars last month that should be on the site soon. Remember we also do Brokerage so if you thinking of selling give us a call 1st
Wasn’t quite this bad but close !!!!!!!

This week we share one of the finest watches we have seen from the famous luxury brand International Watch Company.
Known as the Portuguese Yacht Club it is the most gorgeous watch finished in solid 18ct rose gold and mounted on a rubber strap with a matching 18ct deployment clasp.
It is undeniably a large watch at 45mm but it does not feel its size and the reason is that with a rubber strap you can get a really good fit on your wrist and it just becomes part of you. Within a couple of days the size just shrinks and when you put on a more traditional size watch it seems small!
The Ardoise grey dial is just pure elegance with the contrasting red chronograph hand equally a joy to watch as it circulates around the dial. The movement has a flyback function allowing you to reset and restart with just one push of the button.
While the front of the watch is a masterpiece on it’s own I suspect that it’s lucky new owner will regularly look at the automatic movement which beats at 28 800 vph via the glass back. It also has a very useful 68 hour power reserve.
For those sailors or swimmers amongst you you may take it down to 60m too.
We will now let the pictures do the talking but if you want something very rare, very special and with a very large saving off RRP this IWC Yacht Club may be for you.
