MG BGT V8

Border Reivers are delighted to offer this beautiful MGB GT V8 on behalf of a client & long standing friend, She no longer has the time to enjoy the car & feels finding it a new home would be kinder than it sitting in the Garage.

This is a genuine factory produced chrome bumper model & one of only 1856 ever made. Despatched from the factory July1973 to Wellsteed garage in Newport.

Fully restored in the 90’s it’s still looks as sharp today. Used sparingly in the last 6 years (1688 miles to be precise) hence the reason for the sale. The vinyl interior was upgraded to leather in 2017.

It has a full sliding sun roof which gives it the best of both worlds as the factory never produced any convertible V8’s. The Engine is an Aluminium 3528 cc with twin SU carbs (137 BHP) same engine used in the Morgan, TVR & the Range Rover.This is a 4 speed manual with overdrive in 3rd & 4th.

Some addition feature to improve the car over standard are telescopic rear shock absorbers, Clive Wheatley engine steady bar, Mallory twin point distributor, 4 branch manifolds, stainless steel exhaust system.

Come with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate. Large A4 folder of service history, related paperworks etc, 11 previous owners from new. My clients owned the car from 2016.
