Border Reivers are delighted to offer this beautiful 1959 Mercedes Benz 190SL for your consideration. Originally build for its 1st owner Mr Brayton
And delivered to him in North Carolina. We have history from the mid 70s confirming the milage and we have know the car since it was sold to its 2nd owner in Southern Ireland in the early 90s.This is perhaps the lowest milage Mercedes 190SL Roadster in the World , We have not seen another since we originally discovered this car and we don’t think you will either.

This Mercedes is indeed very special having only done 15000 from day one. This Mercedes is totally original and has all its original panels.It comes painted in the traditional Mercedes Silver arrows, Silver with contrasting red leather upholstery with just 15000 miles from new this must be the finest unrestored LHD Mercedes in the world and a credit to its 2 previous custodians.

Mechanically, The engine bay is as it should be and you would expect from this original car. The engine has only covered 15000 miles and is very tight feels like new ,Pulls very strong through the gears and will sit at the maximum speed limit all day.It has been converted to Webber Carburettors. The gearbox is smooth & works as it should.
The suspension handles the road well and rides the bumps very smoothly, in-fact everything mechanical is just as it should be having been regularly serviced. With the exception of the servo the whole brake system has been replaced. The car has amazing presence on the road and is a pleasure to drive.

Bodywork.The shell is totally original and rust free . Let me repeat totally rust free (The condition is astonishing).

The paintwork is excellent and of the high quality you expect from Mercedes-Benz. This is the last of the hand built Mercedes-Benz Roadsters.

Interior, This is just as stunning as the rest of the car. The original red leather upholstery has been replaced due to sun bleaching and the natural break down of the Mercedes hides a major problem with an old Mercedes however it now has just the correct amount of patina to take that new leather look off it. This really complements the Silver exterior. Nothing has been spared all the carpets have been replaced again only due to fading.
