History
The Early History of the car is a bit of a sketchy, what we do know is that it was campaign in the East South Africa Rally by Minilights a couple of times.
The company that done the wiring harness said it was always a rally car and had done the East Africa Safari Rally several times before however they remembered the car in red ?
We were sent this picture from Christopher (facebook) who is at the wheel (Car in Red)
PIAA Lights all so confirmed that they made a batch of 4 sets of Aluminium light weight spot lights for rally cars entering the Africa rally in fact they asked to buy back the lights as they are the only set they know of that exist.
This Escort has been owned by my client who resides in Monaco since 2014,He has entered the Last 5 Monte Carlo Historique Rally gaining a top 20 place this year 2019. The car has done the last 8 Monte Carlo Rallys.

Shell was restored and resprayed in 2014 with new outer seals this was the only bad rust on the shell and were re done the same as the works one it had the rest o the shell was kept to original spec.
Once you start to look in detail at the underneath you start to see it is a very different escort due to being a Safari Rally Car strengthened with Water deflector and protection plates.
Running Gear and suspension & steering & brakes, all parts replaced to original spec.
From the replacement parts, installed it is all Group 4 original
The Diff is a Atlas with extended rear plate for cooling Safari ( new 2019)
