Porsche 911E RHD
Border Reivers are delighted to offer this very usable, rare matching numbers, right-hand drive, UK-supplied, ’73 2.4 E with supporting history file Cherished by the previous custodian who has maintained the car over the past five years. This is a rare none sunroof car. Porsche produced the 911E from 1968 to 1973, (B-Series to E-Series) replacing the 911 (Lux), and it was designed to be the most comfortable and drivable of the 911 range fitting neatly between the 911T (Touring) and the 911S (Super). The designation ‘E’ came from the German for injection: Einspritzung. The mechanical fuel injection system (MFI) was developed jointly by Bosch and Porsche to be used on the 911E and the 911S and resulted in more power, better drivability, and a cleaner running engine. In 1972 the 911E (E-Series) benefitted from a larger engine (2341cc) and the stronger 915 gearbox, and in 1973 the oil-filler was moved inside the engine bay and the front spoiler from the 911S became standard. Offered here is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive Porsche 911E 2.4 delivered through Cartune (Teeside) Ltd, Middlesborough on 1st January 1973. Finished in its original Colour of Silver with a black leatherette interior. A Letter of Origin from Porsche confirms the usual details about the car including where it was delivered new. There is a large A4 file of history/invoices from over the years documenting monies spent, it also includes copies of all the previous custodians in the form of old V5 along with a host of old MoTs. In great useable condition. Mot and tax exempt. Home-market 911Es rarely come to market and we urge you to come and view this car in person. Supplied with its original 911 registration. It has some paint blemishes, long term it would benefit from a little TLC on the paint side, the last 911E we purchased in this condition was £140k so we know what a bargain this is.
