This beautiful Porsche 356B (T5) Coupe super model is a genuine and rare British supplied RHD. Delivered new in 1959 from Frazer Nash cars of Isleworth (AFN Ltd ).

Border Reviers had the privilege of selling this car 3 years ago (below) was our original description. However it has been totally restored & is fresh from restoration (see end of the original description)

In the late 80’s this car was fully restored to rally/race/fast road spec in preparation for the Pirelli classic marathon and that year’s Monte Carlo rally. The body was stripped of all unnecessary trim i.e rear seats, carpets, headlining, trim panels, and bumpers. Also at this stage all the underseal was removed from the underside including under the wings, engine compartment and trunk areas. It has lighter perspex windows fitted with the exception of the windscreen,the side drop glass has the Carrera style window pull straps on both doors with ally door panels and net map pockets.The original front seats have been retained fitted with full race harnesses.They is driver and passengers fire extinguishers,half roll cage,external engine kill switch,new loom with rally style fuse box for quick/easy access upgraded to 12 volt.It is also fitted with a Halda speed pilot and a Halda trip master,Carrera wing mirror,Sebring exhaust,a full set of modern and accurate dials have been fitted,including oil pressure,oil temp,fuel and electronic rev counter,map lights,cheese grater head lamp covers,original period bonnet straps and a removable tow eye.
The full underside is painted for easy maintenance and safety. The Engine was entrusted to 356 guru Barry Curtis who took the original 1600 out to 1720, producing over 100 BHP 
The engine has an Alternator conversion,twin coils,twin fuel pumps,remote oil filter and cooler and has a light weight battery
The engine starts first crank and runs/pulls very strong. 
The Car comes with its original FIA appendix ‘K’ period ‘E’ type 4 for race/rally paperwork 
The Number Plate POR 356B is not included in the sale but is available.
This car comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche cars. This car has related paperwork and history going back to 1963.

Since purchasing the car the new custodian set about a restoration involving a full bodyshell restoration. This was undertaken at great expense by Haslams of Bolton who specialise in very exclusive car restoration such as Bugatti and Rolls etc for William Loughran. The car was then repainted in grey. The interior was re-trimmed. The engine was completely checked over / refreshed and still gives a reliable 120bhp.  The car is 100% and totally reliable. It will stand absolutely any inspection and is faultless. It retains the original Haldas. This car is stunning.
